In Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, several markets and shopping centers are temporarily closed, as are congregational prayers (namaz) in mosques, due to major political events. This was reported by the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to official information, congregational prayers will be temporarily suspended from October 7 to 12 of this year at the Mavlono Yaqub Charkhi, Sari Osiyo, Abu Hanifa, and Khoji Ismatullo mosques. At the Imam al-Bukhori Mosque, prayers will be suspended from October 8 to 12.
During the same period, from October 8 to 12, the activities of the Korvon, Kushoniyon, and Mehrgon markets (except for food outlets), as well as the Panjshir, Ganjina, and Sadbarg shopping centers, will be temporarily suspended.
Citizens, residents, and visitors to the capital are strongly advised to refrain from traveling or entering the city unless absolutely necessary on the specified dates.
Local authorities emphasize that these measures are aimed at ensuring public order and safety during events of national and political significance. Responsible city services will strengthen enforcement of temporary restrictions and ensure the safe conduct of events.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges residents to plan their trips in advance, take into account possible restrictions when visiting markets, shopping centers, and religious institutions, and to comply with all safety requirements during the temporary restrictions.
