On the night of May 20, Russia launched further airstrikes on Ukrainian territory. The attacks resulted in deaths and injuries, and damaged residential buildings, hospitals, and other infrastructure.
In the city of Dnipro, according to Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, two people were killed and six others were injured. Five of the injured were hospitalized, and three are in serious condition.
In addition, as a result of the night attack, a food warehouse, private homes and a car were damaged.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, four people were injured, including a two-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. He said the attack struck a private home. The building was destroyed, and a fire broke out after the impact. The blast wave and debris damaged a car and neighboring houses.
A Russian attack was also reported on the city of Konotop in the Sumy region. Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported that a multi-story building had been hit and did not rule out the possibility of people being trapped under the rubble.
Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that the strike in Konotop caused the collapse of a five-story building. Floors from the second to the fourth floors were destroyed. Eight people were injured, and three were rescued.
The Shostka community was also hit by Russian drones. The district hospital was damaged, windows were blown out in administrative buildings, houses, and apartments, and a museum was destroyed.
In Odessa, the attack damaged several residential buildings and cars, and completely destroyed a one-story building.
In recent weeks, Russia has intensified missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian territory.
