Today, on the second day of the BRICS summit in India, Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the leaders of the countries, calling for expanded cooperation and stronger collaboration. He stated that the Global South is becoming a key factor in the formation of a multipolar world. BRICS members need to unite with other countries of the Global South, play a constructive role in international affairs, and contribute to improving the common well-being of humanity. He also noted that the expanded BRICS format should ensure the smooth operation of production and supply chains. According to the Chinese leader, BRICS countries should already develop integrated markets, modernize traditional industries, develop new and promising areas, and proactively plan for the development of future industries. Xi Jinping proposed five initiatives for advancing cooperation in the expanded BRICS format: in artificial intelligence, trade and investment facilitation, the digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, and human resource development.
