Law enforcement agencies in Tajikistan are investigating two criminal cases: the illegal detention of a resident of the Shakhritus district and the intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm in Khujand.
According to the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers from the Khatlon Region Department of Internal Affairs detained Bobokulzoda Nazar, born in 1981, a resident of the Shakhritus district, during operational investigative activities on suspicion of illegal deprivation of liberty.
According to the investigation, from April 2023 to September 2025, the suspect illegally detained K.N., a resident of the Shakhritus district, in his home. Using violence and threats of imprisonment, he subjected the victim to cruel treatment and forced her to perform household chores.
A criminal case has been opened against Bobokulzoda Nazar under Part 3 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. Investigative actions are ongoing.
Another criminal case is being investigated by officers from the Khujand Department of Internal Affairs. During operational search operations, Inoyatullo Sharipov, born in 1997, a resident of the Devashtichsky District, was arrested on suspicion of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.

According to investigators, on July 21, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM, a conflict erupted between the suspect and a young woman born in 1997, a resident of the Shakhrinav district, in the Botanical Park of Khujand. During the incident, the man, according to investigators, stabbed the victim four times.
As a result, the woman received serious bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
A criminal case has been opened against Inoyatullo Sharipov under Part 2 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. The investigation is ongoing.
