The average monthly wage of workers across all sectors of the Tajik economy reached 3,194.45 somoni as of June 1, 2026, an increase of 19.8%, or 528.5 somoni, compared to the same period last year. This was announced today at a press conference by the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan, where the agency's performance for the first half of 2026 was summarized.
According to the Ministry, the average monthly salary of employees in the education sector was 3,089.08 somoni, healthcare and social services – 2,293.2 somoni, and government agencies, defense and social insurance – 2,779.49 somoni.
Regionally, the highest average monthly wage was recorded in Sughd Region at 3,071.87 somoni. In cities and districts of republican subordination, this figure was 2,815.3 somoni, in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region – 2,704.86 somoni, and in Khatlon Region – 2,694.58 somoni.
The Ministry noted that wage growth is accompanied by positive dynamics in the population's standard of living.
