China highly appreciates Pakistan's efforts to restore peace in the Middle East. Chinese President Xi Jinping stated this at a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Beijing. He noted that the two sides should continue to maintain close communication and coordination, jointly oppose unilateralism in international relations and Cold War thinking, build a more just and orderly multipolar world, and advance economic globalization. Shahbaz Sharif thanked Pakistan for its support for Pakistan's mediation role in the negotiations between Iran and the United States. He called the four-point proposal on the Middle East put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping in April a guiding principle for achieving peace. Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan is ready to coordinate its actions with China to strengthen world peace and stability. The two sides also discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest. (Photo: Xinhua)
