The Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the capital's Prosecutor's Office, has created a working group to monitor food pricing, particularly for meat products. This was reported by the press service of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the agency, the working group has begun awareness-raising and preventative measures at the Mehrgon, Farovon, Sakhovat, and Khovaron markets, as well as at all large and small retail outlets and city centers.

On the first day of the raids, officers uncovered over 40 instances of meat products being sold at inflated prices, exceeding the established standard. Administrative protocols were issued against entrepreneurs who knowingly raised prices and misled consumers under Article 627 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. Protocols were also issued for unauthorized price increases under Article 555 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The capital's Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that entrepreneurs are strongly advised to avoid unjustified price increases and, instead, to promote food sufficiency and accessibility for the population through honest trading practices.
