In Bangladesh, an albino buffalo named Donald Trump was pardoned and saved from being sacrificed during the Eid al-Adha holiday. The animal's story has recently attracted the attention of international media and social media users, Tengri Life reports, citing CBS News.
The buffalo received its unusual nickname due to the distinctive hair on its head, which, according to many, resembles the famous hairstyle of US President Donald Trump.
The animal was originally purchased for sacrifice during the religious holiday of Eid al-Adha. However, after photos of the buffalo spread widely online and went viral, the country's authorities decided to intervene.
Bangladesh Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed ordered the animal's life spared. He also ordered the money returned to the person who purchased the buffalo for sacrifice.
According to the minister, the buffalo will subsequently be transferred to the national zoo in Dhaka, where it will be provided with the necessary living conditions.
The animal's owner, Ziyauddin Mridha, described the buffalo as calm and gentle. He also noted that due to albinism, the animal requires special care, including regular feeding and frequent bathing.
A golden pheasant named Little Red from a safari park in Hangzhou, China, previously gained widespread popularity. The bird attracted the attention of journalists and internet users thanks to its bright yellow crest and the expression in its eyes, which many recalled the appearance and hairstyle of Donald Trump.
