On May 28, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon issued a series of strict instructions to relevant agencies to fully meet the country's market demand for domestically produced cement, the head of state's press service reported.
On the instructions of the head of state, over the next 2-3 years, that is, by 2029, 4 new cement plants with a total capacity of 6 million tons will be commissioned in various regions of the country.
With this capacity, cement production in Tajikistan will increase by 100%, which will lead to a full and abundant supply of high-quality cement to the domestic market at affordable prices.
These plants will create approximately 5,000 new jobs.
