On May 22, 2026, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Tolibzoda Firdavs, held a meeting with representatives of international financial companies JP Morgan, Loomis Sayles & Company, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Global Evolution, the NBT press department reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the global and regional economic situation, prospects for the development of the Tajik economy, reform of the financial and banking sectors, and opportunities for attracting capital to the country.
The meeting participants paid special attention to the implementation of international standards in the banking sector and the development of digital financial services. It was noted that in recent years, the number of payment cards and e-wallets in Tajikistan has increased significantly, as has the volume of non-cash transactions. Furthermore, the parties emphasized the acceleration of digitalization in the country's economy.
The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan noted that favorable conditions for foreign investors have been created in the country's financial and banking sectors. He stated that developing green economy financing, strengthening digital infrastructure, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses remain priorities.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in continuing constructive dialogue and further exploring areas of cooperation in the financial, investment, and banking sectors.
The National Bank of Tajikistan emphasized that the meeting was held as part of the implementation of the instructions and directives of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as well as as part of the National Bank's cooperation with international financial institutions, including JP Morgan, to attract investment into the country's economy.
