Financial Literacy Week was held in the Vanj district as part of Global Money Week. The event took place on April 16 at the community center in the village of Motravn, Yazgulom Jamoat, at the initiative of the Regional Office of the National Bank of Tajikistan in Khorog. This was reported by the press service of the Chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
The event was attended by Mirzonabot Alisher Khudoberdi, Chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Before the main event, he familiarized himself with the products presented by financial and credit institutions.
The official part took place in the hall of the cultural center, where the event was opened by the head of the regional office of the National Bank in the city of Khorog, Kozidavlatzoda Zainulrab.





Addressing the participants, the head of the region noted that the adoption of the "National Strategy for Financial Inclusion of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026" is a logical continuation of the policy of the country's top leadership.
He also recalled the position voiced in the latest Address by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, according to which the sustainable development of the national economy directly depends on the effective functioning of the financial and banking system.
During the event, it was emphasized that financial inclusion is viewed not only as an industry-specific area, but also as an important factor in ensuring sustainable economic and social development.




It was noted that the Vanj district is demonstrating positive results in implementing state policy in this area. Specifically, more than 100 electronic payment devices have been installed in the district. According to statistics, 53 of them processed 2,849 transactions totaling 473,877,000 somoni. These transactions accounted for 41 percent of the total, and 72 percent of the total amount.
As the participants emphasized, these indicators indicate a gradual increase in the level of use of modern financial services among the population.
The event concluded with a cultural program prepared by cultural workers of the Murghab district.
