A new season of intracity tourist routes, "Red Bus Tours," will begin in Dushanbe on May 30. The project, initiated by the Dushanbe City Executive Authority, aims to develop the tourism industry, promote the capital's tourism potential, and expand modern tourism services.
According to the Dushanbe Tourism Development Department, residents and visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to explore the city's historical, cultural, and architectural landmarks. Tours will be led by professional guides in Tajik, Russian, and English. Participants will be informed about the history, culture, and rich heritage of the Tajik people, as well as learn about Dushanbe's tourism opportunities.
The organizers have also prepared a cultural and entertainment program featuring creative groups and artists. Regular tours will run from late May through October. Initially, tours will be held on weekends, but later, depending on demand, the routes are planned to be daily. Tickets will be available online through tour companies.
The project will also include a Dushanbe-Gissar route, scheduled to operate weekly on Saturdays. Leading tourism industry players, including King Tour and Somon Travel, have been engaged to implement the initiative.
One of the routes will depart on Saturdays at 7:30 PM from the Navruzgoh Park State Institution. The tour will cover Istiklol Square, Ustod Rudaki Park, Dusti Square, the National University of Tajikistan, the Serena and Hyatt Regency hotels, the Kokhi Navruz complex, the Youth Lake, and other attractions of the capital.
Another route will depart on Sundays at 7:30 PM from the Sadriddin Aini State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. Buses will travel along Dushanbe's central streets and avenues. The tour program includes the National Museum of Tajikistan, the National Flag Park, the National Library, the Palace of the Nation, the Dushanbe Central Mosque, the Kokhi Borbad Complex, Iram Park, and other popular tourist attractions.
A separate route includes a trip from Dushanbe to the Gissar Fortress historical and cultural complex. The tour will be organized on Saturdays, departing at 4:00 PM from the Sadriddin Aini Opera and Ballet Theater.
