Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the US and Israel, after failing to achieve their military goals, are attempting to pressure Iran through economic and informational means. He made this statement at a meeting with members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Anadolu Agency.
According to Pezeshkian, the main focus of the confrontation has become economic warfare. He noted that Iran's adversaries, having failed to achieve their military objectives, have focused on undermining the country's economic stability and worsening living conditions for the population.
The Iranian President emphasized that strengthening the role of the private sector will strengthen the state's economic power and enhance national resilience.
In turn, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence stated that the United States and Israel, after the cessation of military clashes, are trying to use “soft war” methods and various conspiracies against the country to achieve their goals.
The agency's statement, which it said was based on credible intelligence, said Iran's adversaries were seeking to destroy and divide the country through other means after failing to achieve that goal militarily.
The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence noted that the United States and Israel are paying special attention to the methods of "soft warfare," "cognitive warfare," and "hybrid warfare."
According to the statement, it is intended to create social provocations by exploiting economic difficulties and rising prices, attempts to undermine national unity by inciting discord between ethnic and religious groups, and the organization of terrorist attacks, especially in the northwestern and southeastern regions of the country.
The agency also warned of possible acts of sabotage and assassination within the country. The statement also stated that Iran's adversaries intend to intensify the smuggling of weapons, ammunition, and communications equipment, including Starlink.
Iran's Ministry of Intelligence also accused foreign media outlets, including BBC Persian, Voice of America, and Iran International, of using them for espionage and incitement. According to the ministry, social media is also actively used to spread disinformation.
In conclusion, the statement noted that the country's authorities have taken the necessary measures against such threats, and the unity and resistance of the Iranian people, it is claimed, will help neutralize these plans.
