A new drinking water line has been commissioned in the village of Furugdeh, Khiloli Village Council, in Khatlon Region. The grand opening took place on December 11th, attended by Davlatali Said, Governor of the region, and Bakhodur Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the press service of the regional governor.
The project was implemented in accordance with the instructions of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon. The country's leadership's ongoing focus on improving living conditions, particularly in remote areas, provides the foundation for addressing social and infrastructure issues, and this facility is part of that policy.

The construction of the line was supported by Project 9421, "Demonstration of Non-Thermal Processing of DDT Waste in Central Asia." According to the contractors, the new well is 200 meters deep, and the distribution network extends 1,700 meters. Access to clean drinking water has been granted to 129 families, representing 1,031 people.
Residents of the village of Furugdeh welcomed the opening of the facility, noting that providing drinking water was one of their most pressing needs. The line's launch will improve sanitation, increase well-being, and contribute to the sustainable development of the community.

During his visit to the site, Davlatali Said spoke with residents, focusing on issues of rational resource use, landscaping, creative work, as well as raising children and the importance of maintaining peace and stability.
The regional administration clarified that work to strengthen water supply networks in the district will continue, and additional measures are planned to improve the quality of life for the population.
