On December 11, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Turkmenistan for a working visit. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.



At Ashgabat International Airport, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was warmly greeted by Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and other officials.



As part of his working visit, the head of state will take part in the International Forum on Peace and Trust.
On the same day, a meeting between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took place on the sidelines of the forum.
During the talks, the parties discussed further strengthening and expanding multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Emomali Rahmon emphasized Tajikistan's commitment to developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in the spirit of strategic partnership.


Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as expanding collaboration in transport, energy, industry, agriculture, and other areas. The parties noted their mutual interest in strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues of cooperation within regional and international organizations.
