The Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan has denied rumors circulating in the media and on social media about the suspension of educational activities in the country's capital due to high-level events and the arrival of foreign delegations.
According to the ministry, kindergartens, schools, and universities in Dushanbe continue to operate according to their regular schedules. "Not a single educational institution in the capital has suspended classes," the ministry emphasized.
The department noted that no orders or instructions were issued declaring holidays from October 8 to 10 for kindergartens, schools, or universities. Moreover, the temporary closure of public roads during these days will not affect the majority of Moscow residents, as educational institutions are primarily located near residential areas.
For students and pupils using routes that pass through the closed areas, teachers will take any potential delays into account. Overall, the ministry assured that education in Dushanbe will proceed as usual.
As a reminder, the Commonwealth of Independent States summit will take place in Dushanbe on October 10, and Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Tajikistan on October 9. Therefore, traffic will be temporarily restricted on delegation routes from October 8 to 12. The exact timing of the closures and the specific streets involved are still being determined.
