The Jaloliddini Balkhi district of Khatlon Region has fully met its cotton harvest plan—100%. According to the press service of the Khatlon Region Governor, as of October 20, the district has harvested 20,674 tons of "white gold."
Today, October 20, Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said visited the Jaloliddini Balkhi district during a working visit, where he participated in an awards ceremony for farms that made significant contributions to meeting the cotton harvest plan. The regional leader presented commemorative gifts to the leading workers and expressed gratitude for their dedicated work.
During a meeting with farm managers and jamoat chairmen, Davlatali Said noted with satisfaction the successful achievement of the cotton production target, congratulated all workers in the district on this achievement, and wished them continued success.
"Achieving this result is the fruit of the collective efforts of farmers, machine operators, irrigators, and cotton pickers. Thanks to their diligence and commitment, the district has made a significant contribution to achieving the overall goals of developing the region's agriculture," the regional governor emphasized.
The regional chairman expressed gratitude to the responsible specialists, farm managers, and farmers for their efforts in sowing, growing, and harvesting the crop. He noted that consistently high cotton production plays a vital role in ensuring the economic stability of Khatlon Region.
According to the press service, the projected cotton harvest in 19 cities and districts of Khatlon region for 2025 is 254,300 tons . As of October 20, 228,157.3 tons have been collected, representing 90% of the annual plan.
To date, nine cities and districts have fully fulfilled their cotton harvest plans: Levakant, Bokhtar, Dust, Yovon, Dangara, Vakhsh, Khuroson, Jaykhun, and Jaloliddini Balkhi . The harvest continues in the remaining districts.
Regional leadership notes that successful implementation of planned indicators contributes to strengthening the region's agricultural potential and developing the rural economy.
