From October 20 to 30, 2025, Tajikistan will conduct Operation Pedestrian , aimed at ensuring citizen safety, enforcing traffic rules, and reducing the number of road accidents. This was reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate (STI) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The main goal of the event is to improve road safety and prevent accidents involving pedestrians . During the operation, traffic police officers will monitor compliance with traffic regulations, paying particular attention to crossings and areas of high pedestrian activity.
The agency urged citizens to be attentive and responsible on the road , to cross streets only in designated areas, and to comply with all traffic regulations. Public participation is seen as a key element in successfully reducing road accidents in the country.
As the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized, in some cases, road accidents involve pedestrians, which is particularly concerning. Therefore, the operation is aimed at preventing such incidents and promoting safe behavior on the roads.
It is expected that, thanks to the joint efforts of law enforcement agencies and Tajik citizens, the accident rate during the operation will decrease, and compliance with traffic rules will become more systematic.
