Since the beginning of this year, 47 primary and secondary vocational education institutions in Tajikistan have been renovated using budget funds and support from development partners, and the procurement of necessary equipment has begun. This was announced on November 13 during a meeting between Farhod Rahimi, Chairman of the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the committee reported.
During the meeting, it was noted that by the end of the year, a number of institutions will be equipped with technology, visual aids, and laboratories.
It was also emphasized that, despite the Committee's recent establishment, thanks to the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a number of important tasks have already been completed, such as the development of regulatory documents, improvement of educational programs, an increase in the number of skilled workers, strengthening of international relations, and the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation agreements with development partners.
Representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency expressed hope for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of green skills and renewable energy, as well as engaging Committee staff in international events to learn about best European practices. Interest was also expressed in enhancing the qualifications of teachers.
