President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon issued a series of strict instructions to relevant agencies to fully meet the country's market demand for domestically produced cement, according to the head of state's press service.
On the instructions of the Head of State, over the next 2-3 years, that is, by 2029, four new cement plants with a total capacity of 6 million tons will be commissioned in various regions of the country.
It is noted that with the launch of the new plants, cement production in Tajikistan will increase by 100 percent. This will fully and abundantly supply the domestic market with high-quality cement at affordable prices.
It is also reported that the new cement plants will create approximately 5,000 new jobs.
