On November 3, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accepted the proposed appointments to leadership positions in the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment, as well as higher education institutions and the Communications Service.
Specifically, the appointments included the heads of departments of the Prosecutor General's Office, prosecutors of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Khatlon, and Sughd regions, as well as prosecutors of the cities and districts of Khorog, Khuroson, Baljuvon, Shahritus, Zafarabad, Spitamen, Devashtich, Rasht, and Faizabad, and the military prosecutor of the Rasht Garrison. All of the appointees are young, competent, experienced, and qualified prosecutors.
According to government decrees, the Director of the Agency for Labor and Employment of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources, the First Deputy Head and Deputy Heads of the Communications Service, the Chairman of the State Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan on Mineral Resources, as well as the Rectors of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University, the Tajik University of Innovation and Digital Technologies, the Dushanbe branch of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov, and the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan named after Imam Azam Abu Hanifa Nu'mon ibn Sobit have been appointed. All appointed specialists meet modern requirements.
Khatlon Region Prosecutor Nazarzoda Avaz has been dismissed from his post and expelled from the prosecutor's office for failure to comply with industry regulations and for committing an act that discredits the honor and dignity of a law enforcement officer.
During a conversation with newly appointed heads of state bodies, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that their primary responsibility is to ensure the rule of law, peace and stability, protect the interests of the state, human and civil rights and freedoms, and train qualified specialists fluent in foreign languages.
It was also noted that official duties must be carried out strictly in accordance with the country's regulatory and legal documents.
