The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated Secondary General Education Institution No. 88 named after Kosym Sirodzh in the village of Pushing, Dangara District, unveiling the memorial plaque and inspecting its operating conditions. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The facility was reportedly built by a group of entrepreneurs from the village of Pushing to reduce the distance between the school and the surrounding community, address the seating issue, and provide employment for young teachers. The school now accommodates 2,160 students in two shifts.
It should be emphasized that before the creation of the new educational institution, most students were forced to travel 3-4 kilometers to attend another school. Therefore, entrepreneurs and patriotic residents of the village of Pushing began construction of a new, modern school in January 2025 to fulfill the Head of State's instructions to build modern schools and create better learning conditions.
The school was built in nine months using 200 local workers. Decent working and living conditions were created for the young teachers, brought to the village of Pushing from towns and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
The newly established institution was built in a modern style and to a high standard to commemorate the 35th anniversary of state independence. It features 27 classrooms, a library, a 200-seat auditorium, a volleyball and basketball court, a 50-seat cafeteria, and a soccer field.
During a tour of the facility, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon praised the quality of the work performed and the initiative of the entrepreneurs in the Dangara district, calling them an example of their contribution to the development of science and education, as well as enhancing the status of teachers in society.
Until 2018, an old, single-story school operated on this site, housing 700 students in 12 classrooms in two shifts. A lack of seating and the alternative school's distance of up to three kilometers created significant difficulties for students, especially during the fall and winter. To address this issue, a new, modern, two-story school was built on the site of the old school, with spacious classrooms providing favorable learning conditions.
Young teachers of physics, chemistry, biology, and foreign languages, recruited from cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region to work in schools in the village of Pushing, expressed enthusiasm for this initiative and promised the Head of State to make a worthy contribution to the education of the younger generation.
In total, 20 teachers were provided with jobs and decent salaries following the opening of the new educational institution. Classes in physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science, as well as workshops for boys and girls, are now equipped with the necessary conditions for mastering various professions and trades; experienced instructors have also been hired for this purpose.
Secondary School No. 88 named after Kosym Sirodzh was built on a 2,500-square-meter site using high-quality construction materials. A separate coal-fired heating facility was built adjacent to the school to heat classrooms during the winter.
Within a single day, two new educational institutions with favorable conditions for the learning process were opened in the village of Pushing. During the tour, the head of state emphasized the important role of teachers in the education of the younger generation and the overall development of society, noting that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure decent working and living conditions.
It should be noted that during the two-day working visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Dangara district, five new general education institutions for 8,500 students in two shifts and four preschool educational institutions for 1,050 children were commissioned in the center and villages, which exemplifies the contribution and support of patriotic entrepreneurs of the Dangara district to the development of the educational sector.
