The feature film "Mokhí dar shast" ("Fish on the Hook") by Tajik director Mukhiddin Muzaffar won the Grand Prix at the second Dushanbe International Film Festival "Tokhí Somon." The festival's closing ceremony and awards ceremony took place on the evening of October 19 at the Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater .
According to the organizers, the film "Mokhí dar shast" was recognized by the jury for its profound portrayal of human emotion, expressive visual language, and masterful direction, reflecting contemporary life in Tajik society through the prism of traditions and spiritual values. The Grand Prix award was presented to director Mukhiddin Muzaffar and the film's crew by representatives of the festival's organizing committee.
The ceremony was attended by renowned figures from Tajikistan's film, culture, and art scene, as well as guests from the CIS, Europe, and Asia.

— Best Actor – Altanshagai Ganbaatr (Mongolia) for the film “Father” ;
— Best Actress — Takhmina Radzhabova (Tajikistan) for the film “Red Dream” and Anastasia Talizina (Russia) for “Air” ;
— Best short film — Saodat Kazakbaeva (Kyrgyzstan) for her work “Evening Call” ;
— Special Jury Prize — Gulshat Smagulova (Kazakhstan) for the film “Citizens of the Roof” ;
— Audience Award – Ivan Maniev (Moldova) for the film “The Prince” .
Festival organizers noted that this year, more than 120 applications from 20 countries, including Tajikistan, Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and other states, were submitted for participation in "Togi Somon."
According to the organizers, the festival has become an important platform for creative exchange between filmmakers from Central Asia and the CIS, as well as a venue for promoting Tajikistan's national cinema internationally.
"Toqi Somon" is not only a competition program but also educational events, roundtables, and creative meetings featuring leading directors, actors, and producers. The forum brings together a younger generation of filmmakers, opening up new opportunities for the development of regional cinema," the organizing committee emphasized.
Concluding the ceremony, the jury chairman noted the high standard of the submitted works and expressed confidence that the Tajik film festival will become one of the region's key platforms for promoting auteur cinema and cultural dialogue.
