The Second Central Asia–Russia Summit was held at the Government Residence of the Republic of Tajikistan, chaired by President Emomali Rahmon. The presidential press service reported this.
The event took place at the Palace of Forums. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, warmly and cordially welcomed each of the heads of state participating in the summit.
The summit was attended by the heads of state of Central Asia and Russia: President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Before the start of the summit, a joint photo ceremony was held for the leaders of the countries.
Then, in the majestic Sarazm Hall, the Second Central Asia-Russia Summit began under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State welcomed the summit participants and high-ranking guests, expressing confidence that the meeting's results would contribute to the further strengthening and expansion of effective multilateral cooperation in this format.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the summit's agenda covers current issues of regional cooperation. Priority areas include advancing trade and economic cooperation, facilitating investment growth, expanding humanitarian ties, and strengthening regional security.
The conviction was expressed that the decisions taken following the discussions will create a solid foundation for further strengthening the spirit of solidarity and mutual understanding between the participating countries of the Central Asia – Russia format.
The President of Tajikistan noted that the active participation of heads of state and relevant bodies demonstrates the parties' commitment to developing dialogue and strengthening strategic cooperation between the countries of the region and the Russian Federation.
Particular attention during the discussions was paid to strengthening trade, economic, investment and humanitarian ties, as well as joint efforts to ensure stability and security in the region.
Following the summit, the heads of state of all participating countries delivered speeches in which they shared their views and proposals on current issues on the agenda.
At the conclusion of the summit, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, summed up the meeting and thanked all participants for their constructive and productive work.
Following the Second Central Asia–Russia Summit, a Final Communiqué and a Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027 were adopted.
