Iran estimates preliminary damage from the US and Israeli attacks at approximately $270 billion, according to Iranian government spokesperson Fatma Muhajerani.
According to her, the issue of war reparations was repeatedly raised by the Iranian delegation at the talks in Islamabad, as well as earlier by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at various international forums.
As Muhajerani noted, relevant agencies have conducted a preliminary assessment of the damage caused in various sectors. Based on these calculations, the total compensation amount is approximately $270 billion, but the final amount will be determined after the official conclusion of the competent authorities.
The issue concerns compensation for damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, commercial properties, and industrial facilities. The rights of the schoolgirls killed in the attack on the school in Minab are also being addressed.
Tehran authorities previously announced that the demand for full compensation for damages was included among ten points planned for discussion at talks following the announcement of a ceasefire with the United States on April 8.
In addition, Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Saeed Iravani, said the country is demanding compensation from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Jordan for their alleged involvement in the actions of the US and Israel.
A corresponding letter was sent to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the Security Council. The document states that, according to Iran, the territories of these countries were used in the attacks.
The letter emphasizes that these states have violated their international obligations and also points to the need for compensation for both material and non-material damage caused to Iran.
Earlier, on March 21, Saeed Iravani submitted a report to the UN, which claimed that the territories and airspace of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait were used by the United States and Israel during the attacks.
