On October 8, Tajikistan's Minister of Health and Social Protection, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, and Anna Popova, head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) of the Russian Federation, met in Dushanbe to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in healthcare and social protection.
The press center of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan reported that the meeting emphasized the importance of partnership between the two countries in the areas of disease prevention, strengthening the healthcare system, and improving the quality of medical services for the population.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of interaction between the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan and Rospotrebnadzor of Russia and proposed exploring opportunities for further expansion of cooperation, including in the area of sharing experience and best practices among doctors and medical specialists.
Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the countries, infectious disease prevention, and strengthening mechanisms for joint efforts to protect citizens' health. Both sides noted that further cooperation will contribute to improving the effectiveness of the healthcare and social protection systems, as well as strengthening the friendly and partnership-based ties between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
