The 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo kicked off in Beijing today. High-ranking guests who spoke at the opening ceremony emphasized the importance of international cooperation in ensuring the reliability of production chains and logistics routes for the development of the global economy.
Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China He Lifeng: "Only through mutual respect, solidarity and win-win cooperation can we safeguard global peace and stability and ensure common development and prosperity."
South African Vice President Paul Mashatile: "Together we can leverage our strengths and capabilities to further build not only complete and cost-effective, but also sustainable and resilient supply chains."
The opening ceremony of the Expo introduced the "Beijing Initiative" calling on the business community to firmly support the multilateral trading system and promote more efficient, green and healthy global development. The five-day Expo is organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Its total area is larger than 17 football fields and is divided into six zones: advanced manufacturing, green agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, healthy living and intelligent transportation. This year, more than 650 companies are participating in the Expo, a third of which are from 75 foreign countries and regions. On the first day, the Expo also hosted 14 industry conferences with ceremonies to sign contracts and cooperation agreements.
Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade: "The China International Supply Chain Expo is an excellent platform for strengthening cooperation in building industrial chains around the world, and especially for strengthening ties with China in this area."
