The foreign trade turnover of the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first six months of 2025 reached 210.2 million US dollars. Of this amount, exports amounted to 82.3 million dollars, which corresponds to 39% of the total volume, and imports – 127.8 million dollars (61%). Such data were announced at the regular meeting of the Executive Body of State Authority of the Khatlon region, dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the region in the first half of 2025.
The total volume of trade turnover in the region for this period amounted to 8 billion 55 million somoni, which is 8 percentage points higher than the same period in 2024. The volume of paid services in the region reached 1 billion 418.2 million somoni, showing an increase of 6 percent.
As of June 1, 2025, 32,431 jobs were created in the Khatlon region. The average monthly salary of workers in the region was 2,192 somoni, an increase of 30.4% compared to the first half of 2024.
In the agricultural sector, the total volume of production for the specified period exceeded 14 billion 69.6 million somoni. In the economic sectors of the region, 346,299 hectares of agricultural crops were sown, which is 104.7% of the planned indicators.
The meeting also discussed issues of increasing production efficiency and further development of the regional economy, including measures to create new jobs and support agricultural producers.
It is emphasized that the dynamic growth of economic indicators in Khatlon region contributes to the sustainable development of the region and strengthening its role in the country's economy.
