The GDP of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states increased by 2.2% from January to September 2025 compared to the same period last year, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
Nearly all Commonwealth countries demonstrated positive dynamics, with the exception of Moldova, whose indicator remained at the 2024 level. The highest growth rates were recorded in Kyrgyzstan (+10%), Tajikistan (+8.2%), and Uzbekistan (+7.6%).
Industrial production, agriculture, and retail turnover continued to grow. Across the CIS as a whole, industrial output increased by 1.4% over the first nine months (4.9% in January–September 2024), agricultural output by 2.4% (1.6% up), and retail turnover by 3.3% (8.5% up).
At the same time, foreign trade turnover in the CIS for January–August 2025 decreased by 2.4%.
At the same time, positive dynamics in the specified period were shown by Uzbekistan (+18.1%), Tajikistan (+16.8%), Moldova (+12.4%) and Azerbaijan (+3.6%).
A decrease was noted in Belarus (-0.01%), Kazakhstan (-2.1%), Russia (-3.2%), Kyrgyzstan (-9.1%) and Armenia (-41.1%).
