On the night of Tuesday, October 14, Russian forces launched guided bomb attacks on Kharkiv, partially knocking out power in three districts and injuring six people with glass fragments. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Civil-Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov.
According to authorities, the Slobodsky and Saltovsky districts of the city were hit by shelling. In the Saltovsky district, the strike damaged the windows of a medical facility. All 57 patients hospitalized at the time of the attack were transferred to another facility, where they are undergoing further examination for injuries and possible acute stress reactions.
Additionally, a single-story, 85-square-meter garage in the Saltovsky district caught fire. The fire damaged 17 cars inside the garage.
The regional administration's press service emphasized that emergency services are working at the scene, restoring power and assessing the damage. The victims have received first aid and are under medical supervision.
Earlier, on October 13, US President Donald Trump, aboard Air Force One, stated the possibility of providing American Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine if Russia refuses a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The US President noted that the issue was discussed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on October 11 and 12.
The situation in Kharkiv remains tense, and city authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and observe safety precautions in areas affected by airstrikes.
