The plan for collecting domestic taxes and other mandatory payments in Tajikistan for the first nine months of 2025 was exceeded by 14.6%, according to the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Instead of the planned 16 billion 967.4 million somoni (about 1.8 billion US dollars), the state budget received 19 billion 446.5 million somoni (over 2 billion dollars), which is 2 billion 479 million somoni more than was planned.
The report notes that the overfulfillment of the state budget revenue plan was made possible by economic development, digitalization of the tax sector, improvements in tax administration, the provision of government services electronically, cashless payments, and the implementation of control measures based on a risk management system.
By region, the overfulfillment of the plan for taxes and mandatory payments was as follows:
-
Dushanbe city – 19.6%;
-
RRP – 8.0%;
-
Sughd region – 6.7%;
-
Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) – 4.6%;
-
Khatlon region – 1.6%;
-
Large Taxpayer Tax Administration – 13.7%.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan, the share of tax revenues in the total state budget revenues for January–July 2025 amounted to 65.9%.
Of the main taxes, the most significant increases were in the collection of income tax, value added tax and excise taxes.
Tax revenues to the country's budget for 2025 are planned to exceed 31.8 billion somoni.
Thus, the successful implementation of the tax revenue plan indicates the country's economic growth, increased efficiency of tax administration, and the introduction of modern digital technologies in public finance.
