A new 12-kilometer paved and illuminated road has been commissioned in the village of Zarkamar in the Miraliobod rural jamoat in the Vose district of Tajikistan. The official opening took place during a working visit by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, according to the presidential press service.
The road was built with the participation of local residents and entrepreneurs at a total cost of over two million somoni. The road consists of two lanes, seven meters wide, and meets modern maintenance and transport safety standards.
After the road was commissioned, unimpeded vehicle movement was ensured throughout the year, which contributed to improved transportation of goods and products, increased mobility for residents of the region, and the development of the regional economy.
As part of the improvement project, bus stops, pedestrian crossings, and drainage ditches on both sides of the road were built. Landscaping and the planting of ornamental and shade trees were also completed. The roadside strip is equipped with modern lighting, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents at night.
President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the road's construction will be a key factor in sustainable economic development and improving the quality of life for the population. The head of state acknowledged the contribution of local residents and entrepreneurs to the project and instructed the responsible authorities to ensure proper maintenance of the road to ensure its long-term operation.
The commissioning of the road opens new opportunities for the socio-economic development of the Vosesky District and the improvement of the region's transport infrastructure.
