A group of journalists from Tajikistan, including an Avesta.tj correspondent, visited the ancient Uyghur village of Tuyuk, located in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The trip was part of a tour of the region's historical and cultural sites.
The village of Tuyuk, located in the picturesque Tuyugou Valley near the city of Turpan, is considered one of the best-preserved ancient Uyghur settlements in Xinjiang. The history of this site spans over two thousand years, and its unique cultural and spiritual heritage attracts travelers, pilgrims, scholars, and researchers from around the world.

During their visit to the village, journalists were able to experience the traditional way of life of the local residents, see ancient houses, ancient vineyards, and a historic mosque that preserves the atmosphere of bygone centuries. The guests were particularly impressed by the majestic landscapes of the grand Tuyuk Canyon surrounding the village, which stretches for eight kilometers among the famous Flame Mountains.

According to the participants, visiting Tuyuk allowed them to experience the rich history of the Great Silk Road and see how various cultures, religions, and traditions have intertwined in this region over the centuries. The journalists noted the high level of preservation of historical monuments and the careful attention paid to cultural heritage.
An Avesta.tj correspondent emphasized that Tuyuk is a unique place where ancient history remains a part of modern life. Narrow streets, ancient architecture, centuries-old traditions, and stunning natural beauty create a unique atmosphere that allows you to immerse yourself in the spirit of the past.

The participants expressed admiration for what they saw, noting that exploring such historical and cultural monuments fosters greater mutual understanding between peoples and opens up new opportunities for cultural exchange and tourism development.
