On August 1, 2025, a roundtable discussion on the draft National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, together with the Co-Chair of the Development Partners Coordination Council and UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Tajikistan, Parvati Ramaswamy, representatives of civil society, private sector associations, and industry experts, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that the draft NDP for 2026–2030 was developed to implement the instructions outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to achieve the country's strategic goals. He emphasized the importance of proposals and recommendations from development partners, civil society representatives, private sector associations, and industry experts in improving this Program.
Participants were presented with the draft National Development Plan 2026–2030, which reflects the country's development goals and priorities, including digitalization, industrial and artificial intelligence development, innovative, scientific, and inventive economic development, human capital development, and other areas.
During the meeting, heads of international organizations—members of the Development Partner Coordination Council, representatives of civil society, private sector associations, and industry experts—presented constructive proposals for finalizing the draft NDP 2026–2030.
It should be noted that the National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 is the third stage of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
Opinions, suggestions and results of the discussions will be taken into account when finalizing the draft NDP 2026–2030.
It is worth noting that in the next stages, the draft NDP 2026–2030 will be submitted for consideration to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in coordination with the country's ministries and departments.
