Tajikistan's Minister of Health and Social Protection, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, met with representatives of the Austrian company AME International GmbH (AME). The ministry's press service reported this.
Negotiations took place on September 10 in Dushanbe with the participation of heads of relevant departments and divisions of the Ministry of Health. The parties discussed issues related to providing medical care to cancer patients, maternal and child health, and other areas of cooperation.
Following the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan and AME International GmbH, a company based in Vienna.
According to the document, the Austrian company intends to develop a comprehensive project to modernize the Republican Scientific Oncology Center in Dushanbe. The plan is to create an international-level medical facility focused on the treatment of cancer in adults and children.
The department noted that the project's implementation will contribute to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in Tajikistan, as well as developing cancer prevention.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to expand cooperation in other areas of healthcare and social protection.

The press service noted that the project's implementation will enable the introduction of modern international standards for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases, and will also contribute to the advanced training of medical specialists.
In addition, the parties expressed interest in further expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare and social protection, including the development of new medical care programs and the exchange of experience.
