On March 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, attended and spoke at a celebratory cultural event in the Matcha district dedicated to the celebration of Navruz.
The ceremony took place at the district's Central Stadium in the presence of numerous residents and guests, according to the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
At the beginning of his speech, the Head of State sincerely congratulated the residents of the district and the entire nation on the arrival of the New Year of their ancestors—the holiday of Navruz—and wished every Tajik family happiness, blessings, progress, and prosperity for Tajikistan.
It was emphasized that for the Tajik people, Navruz is not only a celebration of the arrival of spring, but also a reflection of ancient history, the embodiment of national identity, and a symbol of the connection between generations.

The President noted that the Tajik people have faced many fateful challenges throughout their history, but thanks to their intelligence, wisdom, and life-affirming traditions and values, including Navruz, they have successfully overcome them.
According to him, it was thanks to these values that this ancient national holiday was revived during the period of independence, and is celebrated today in an atmosphere of independence, freedom, peace, stability, and national unity.
It was noted that this year, Navruz is being celebrated by the people of Tajikistan, including residents of the Sughd region and the Matcha district, at an important stage of construction and improvement in honor of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence.

The head of state emphasized that thanks to the government's support, consistent implementation of economic reforms, and the people's conscientious work over the years of independence, the Matchinsky District has become well-maintained and beautiful, and living conditions have improved significantly.
It was noted that in the last five years alone, 38 new industrial enterprises and workshops have been launched in the region, hundreds of new jobs have been created, and the volume of industrial production has increased by 2.2 times.
Emomali Rahmon regarded these achievements as a valuable gift from entrepreneurs and residents of the region in celebration of the 35th anniversary of State independence.

The President recalled that Navruz is a holiday celebrating the connection between man and the land, the beginning of agricultural work, and the pursuit of prosperity and abundance.
In this regard, it was emphasized that it is necessary to effectively use every favorable day of spring to provide the domestic market with food products and strengthen the country's food security.
It was reported that the improvement and development plan for the 35th anniversary of State Independence in the Matchinsky District includes the construction and renovation of 735 facilities, all of which have been commissioned to date. This was hailed as a significant indicator of the patriotism, responsibility, and creative work of the district's residents.

Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the residents of the Matcha district for their contribution to the development and prosperity of the region.
In conclusion, the President expressed confidence that by the end of the year, entrepreneurs and residents of the district will build and commission dozens more facilities, create hundreds of new jobs, and contribute to the further development of the district.
Following the performance, a festive cultural program took place, during which the artists presented vibrant and meaningful numbers, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
