The center, located in the Sino district, one of the capital's most densely populated areas, will be provided with three state-of-the-art Japanese digital fluorography machines. The equipment will significantly improve the quality, accessibility, and speed of disease diagnosis, particularly for infectious diseases, thereby improving the health of the capital's residents and the healthcare system.
During her speech, Japanese Ambassador Furuta Keiko emphasized the successful holding of the first "Central Asia Plus Japan" Dialogue Summit in Tokyo in December 2025, which reaffirmed the strong partnership between Japan and the Central Asian countries, particularly Tajikistan. Support for improving healthcare was identified as one of the priority areas of cooperation during the Summit.

The Ambassador noted that Japan has provided assistance to the Tajik people in a wide range of areas for over 30 years, since the establishment of diplomatic relations with Tajikistan. Ms. Furuta Keiko expressed hope that this project will be completed on time and will benefit a broad segment of the population. She also emphasized that the project aims to improve infectious disease diagnostics and enhance the safety of healthcare facilities in Tajikistan, which in turn will contribute to the overall well-being of the population.
Director of Health Center No. 14, Hamidzoda Khomidzhon, expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Japan for the timely assistance provided.
Support under the Japanese Government's Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security (GGP) Program is provided primarily to local governments, educational and medical institutions, and international NGOs in developing countries.
