The Republic of Armenia has assumed the chairmanship of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) from the Republic of Tajikistan. The decision was made on October 3 at a Council meeting held in Yerevan. This was announced by the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan, Sulaimon Sultonzoda, the Prosecutors General of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, the Deputy Prosecutors General of Russia and Belarus, the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan, and the Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
At the beginning of the meeting, by decision of the participants, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan was appointed Chairperson of the Interstate Council for 2025–2026.
In his address, Sulaimon Sultonzoda presented a report on Tajikistan's work during its chairmanship of the Council and shared the country's experience in combating corruption, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening cooperation between CIS countries in this area.
Following the meeting, decisions were made regarding the Interstate Council's activities for 2025–2026. These documents have been sent to Council members for implementation.
