The Football Federation of Tajikistan has approved the new coaching staff for the national team. Goran Stevanović, a 58-year-old Serbian specialist, has been appointed head coach of the Tajikistan national football team. This was announced by the Football Federation's press service.
Stevanović has extensive experience at both the national and club levels. He coached the Ghana national team at various times, leading them to the African Cup of Nations. He also managed the Serbian U-21 team and served as assistant coach for Serbia at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
At club level, Stevanović worked with teams from Serbia, Greece and China, achieving a number of sporting successes with them.
The new coaching staff of the Tajikistan national team will include two of Stevanović's compatriots. Radmilo Azaniac, who previously worked with Kazakhstani clubs Taraz and Atyrau, has been appointed assistant coach. Milan Pavlović, whose coaching career includes teams in Serbia, China, and Greece, has been appointed second assistant.
In addition, Alifbek Beromov, head coach of the Barkchi football club, will join the head coach. Alisher Tuychiev, who previously held this position with the national team, will continue to be responsible for goalkeeping training.
The appointment of a new coaching staff is aimed at strengthening the Tajikistan national team and improving its performance on the international stage. The team will soon begin preparations for the upcoming qualifying and friendly matches.
