On Wednesday, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, along with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and other heads of state, attended a ceremony in Tiananmen Square in Beijing commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Militarism and the World Anti-Fascist War. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
Emomali Rahmon and other world leaders were warmly welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Before the ceremony, a commemorative photo session was held.
Heads of state and government from 26 countries took part in the celebrations. War heroes and veterans took pride of place on the podium.
The event culminated in a military parade, prepared on a grand scale. Units from China's ground, naval, and air forces marched across the square, and modern military equipment from various branches of the armed forces was also on display.
The event was held in a solemn and friendly atmosphere, emphasizing the significance of this historic date for China and the international community.
