Dushanbe issued a reminder about criminal liability for involving minors in antisocial acts. This was reported by the press service of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs.
According to Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, involving minors in antisocial acts, including the systematic consumption of alcoholic beverages, the non-medical use of potent substances or other intoxicants, as well as involvement in prostitution, vagrancy and begging, is classified as a crime.
Such actions are punishable by correctional labor or imprisonment for up to five years.
Law enforcement agencies urge citizens not to remain indifferent to issues of raising minors and to refrain from committing such illegal acts.
