A working meeting between Deputy Minister Khabibullo Khairullozoda and World Bank representatives and international experts was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the ministry's press service.
The meeting was held as part of the Social Protection Modernization and Economic Inclusion Project, supported by the World Bank. During the talks, the results of the first phase of the project were summarized and key areas for the next phase of its implementation were discussed.
As noted, the first component of the project, providing one-time financial assistance to low-income families, was successfully completed. All planned payments were made in full, providing significant support to the most vulnerable segments of the population.
The second phase of the project's third component has now begun. This phase aims to introduce a case management system—a comprehensive and inclusive approach to providing social services to those in need. The development of case management methodological materials is being carried out with the participation of international experts from the World Bank.
The third component places particular emphasis on supporting families with children, individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and pregnant women living in socioeconomically vulnerable situations. Pilot cities and districts have already been identified for the practical implementation of the project, where new social assistance mechanisms will be tested.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Khabibullo Khairullozoda emphasized that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan is fully committed to implementing state social policy and is ready to ensure the effective implementation of all project objectives in close collaboration with partners.
