In Tajikistan, a 30% increase in crimes committed against minors was recorded in the first half of 2025. This was reported by Suhaili Kodiri, Head of the Department for State Protection of Children's Rights at the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tajikistan, at a press conference in Dushanbe.

According to the official, the number of crimes committed by children themselves decreased by 18%. Despite the positive trend in juvenile delinquency, the increase in crimes committed against them is a serious concern.
"The child protection situation is gradually improving, but the rise in violence and other crimes against children remains a pressing issue," Kodiri noted.
According to the agency, six complaints related to domestic violence were received in the first six months of this year—four written and two oral. The issues raised in these complaints are being monitored by the relevant authorities.
Kodiri emphasized that Tajikistan's legislation on children's rights is among the strictest in the region and is being improved every year to ensure effective protection for minors.
"Responsibility for violating children's rights in our country is more severe than in other Central Asian states," he added.
