A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan dedicated to the results of the activities of the Dushanbe City Health Department for the first half of 2025, the press service of the department reports .
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, the head of the capital's Health Department Khushvakht Sharifzoda, heads of medical institutions in the city, as well as representatives of the central office of the ministry.
Khushvakht Sharifzoda presented a report on the results of work for the reporting period. He noted that during the first six months of the current year, with the support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali, the capital's healthcare system focused its efforts on implementing state programs and improving the quality of medical care provided to the population.
In particular, the report presented data on the progress of activities within the framework of national programs for the prevention and treatment of HIV, tuberculosis, improvement of emergency medical care and organization of immunization. The need to prevent seasonal infectious diseases and reduce maternal and child mortality rates was also emphasized.
In his speech, Minister Jamoliddin Abdullozoda drew attention to the existing problems in the capital's healthcare system. Particular emphasis was placed on issues of staffing, digitalization of medical institutions, strengthening control over the quality of medical services and expanding information and educational activities among the population.
In addition, the tasks of ensuring timely diagnosis, preventing non-communicable diseases, strengthening the material and technical base of institutions and expanding access to outpatient care were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister gave specific instructions to the heads of the Department and medical institutions of the capital, aimed at eliminating the identified shortcomings and further improving the efficiency of the Dushanbe healthcare system.
