As a result of an inspection conducted by police officers at the Chinor teahouse located on Rudaki Avenue in the capital, a fact of selling expired alcoholic beverages was discovered. This was reported by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Dushanbe.
The inspection was organized based on an electronic appeal from one of the citizens, which was received by the internal affairs bodies. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the raid it was discovered that 19-year-old resident of Varzob district Karimov Eraj, who works as a bartender in this establishment, sold alcoholic beverages whose expiration date had expired.
“The sale of expired alcoholic beverages poses a threat to the life and health of citizens and is a direct violation of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan,” the capital’s police emphasized.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against Karimov E. under Article 627 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan ("Deception of Consumers"). The case materials were sent to the court for appropriate measures.
The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs expressed gratitude to the citizen who reported the violation and called on residents to take an active civic position and report violations in the public catering and trade sectors.
“Timely response and close interaction with the population helps strengthen public safety and prevent violations,” the department emphasized.
