In Khujand, improvement and road infrastructure development work continues ahead of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence. As part of these efforts, the main access road to the Navruzgoh cultural and leisure park is being paved, according to the Khujand city administration press service.
Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda inspected the progress of the work. During his tour, he instructed those responsible to ensure high-quality road surfaces, strictly adhere to technical requirements, and complete the work within the specified timeframe.



According to officials, the asphalt paving is being carried out with the support of the Executive Authority of the City of Khujand. Vahdat-2018 LLC is the contractor. Fourteen units of specialized equipment and 28 specialists are involved in the work.
The total area of the asphalted section of the road exceeds 5 thousand square meters.
During the inspection, it was noted that, in accordance with the instructions of Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, a comprehensive road repair and restoration program is ongoing in the Sughd Region. In the first half of this year alone, approximately 1,100 kilometers of roads were repaired and reconstructed in the region. Of these, 189.2 kilometers were major repairs, 538.4 kilometers were routine repairs, and another 355.8 kilometers were restored using gravel backfill.



The administration emphasized that paving the access road to Navruzgokh Park is part of improvements timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. The renovated road is expected to improve traffic conditions for both vehicles and pedestrians.
Hundreds of residents and tourists visit the park, located on the picturesque banks of the Syr Darya River, daily. Improved road infrastructure is expected to further promote tourism and improve the quality of service for visitors.
