Tajik Interior Minister and Police Colonel General Ramazon Rahimzoda attended the latest meeting of the ministers of internal affairs and public security of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, which took place on June 5 in Bishkek, the ministry's press service reported.

The event was attended by delegations from the ministries of internal affairs and public security agencies of the SCO member states, representatives of the organization's permanent bodies, Interpol, and the Bureau for the Coordination of the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime in the CIS member states.
During the meeting, the heads of law enforcement agencies exchanged views in an open and friendly atmosphere on issues of international and regional security, the further development of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism, and separatism, as well as combating transnational organized crime.
Participants paid special attention to modern threats and challenges associated with the rapid development of digital technologies. The parties emphasized the importance of ensuring information security and strengthening effective cooperation in countering cyber threats.
In accordance with the agenda, proposals for further developing cooperation in law enforcement were considered. Particular attention was paid to combating transnational crime, addressing modern security threats, and strengthening the coordination of joint efforts in this area.
Participants also discussed in detail the fight against crimes committed using information technology. The importance of developing effective mechanisms to combat cybercrime and expanding practical cooperation in preventing and combating offenses committed using artificial intelligence technologies was noted.
Following the meeting, the parties signed the corresponding protocol.
As noted, the meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual trust, and constructive cooperation.
During the event, Tajikistan's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramazon Rahimzoda, and the Tajik delegation held meetings with Iran's Minister of Internal Affairs, Iskandar Mu'min, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Internal Affairs and Narcotics Control, Sayyid Mohsin Reza Naqvi, and representatives of relevant agencies.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan held separate talks with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Tashpulatov, the Deputy Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Liu Wujin, and the Secretary General of Interpol Valdesi Urquiza.
