In Tajikistan, police have solved a number of thefts committed in various regions of the country. All cases are under investigation, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
A 43-year-old local resident reported a theft to the Bokhtar police department. She stated that on April 13, 2026, unknown individuals secretly entered her grocery store on Norinov Street and stole 10,000 somoni before fleeing.
As a result of operational investigative measures, police officers established that the crime was committed by a 20-year-old young man and a 17-year-old minor, residents of the city of Bokhtar and the Vakhsh region.
Additionally, a 29-year-old Dushanbe resident was detained during similar operations on suspicion of theft. According to investigators, on February 15, 2026, he secretly stole 33 women's watches and one bottle of women's perfume from the Miledi store on Bukhoro Street in the Shokhmansur district. The damage amounted to 71,000 somoni.
Another complaint was filed with the Farkhor District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by a 35-year-old local resident. He reported that on February 3, 2026, unknown individuals broke into his home and stole 60,000 somoni. Investigative actions revealed that his 32-year-old wife had committed the theft. 32,950 somoni were seized as evidence.
The Jaykhun District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also received a complaint from a 32-year-old resident of the district. He reported that on March 16, 2026, unknown individuals stole one head of cattle from agricultural land near their village. The damage amounted to 15,000 somoni.
During the investigation, it was established that the crime was committed by a 28-year-old resident of the same district, previously convicted under Part 2 of Article 244 and Part 2 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.
According to the investigation, he was also involved in similar thefts: on April 8, 2026, one head of cattle belonging to a 51-year-old resident of the district was stolen from the lands of the Kumsangir jamoat in the Jaykhun district, with damages amounting to 15,000 somoni.
Additionally, on April 5, 2026, he stole another head of cattle, belonging to a 34-year-old local resident, from agricultural lands in the village of Dusti in the same district. The damage amounted to 14,000 somoni.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police also established the involvement of a group of individuals in a theft in the Bobojon Gafurov district. According to investigators, a 38-year-old woman, her 30-year-old husband, and her husband's 28-year-old brother broke into the home of a 39-year-old local resident at approximately 11:30 PM on the night of January 27-28, 2026.
A television, a wristwatch, women's earrings, a silver ring, and other household items were stolen from there. The total damage amounted to 17,820 somoni.
A criminal case has also been opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic.
