Tajikistan will be represented by 17 judokas—13 men and four women—at the Tashkent Grand Slam 2026. The competition will take place from February 27 to March 1 in Tashkent, according to Varzish TV channel.
The following will be part of the Tajikistan national team: Akhliya Muminova – in the weight category up to 48 kg; Madina Kurbonzoda – in the weight category up to 52 kg; Alexandra Kan – in the weight category up to 57 kg; Mehrzod Sufiyev and Muhammadsoleh Kuvvatov – in the weight category up to 60 kg; Emomali Nurali and Obid Dzhebov – in the weight category up to 66 kg; Mas'udi Akhmadzod and Abdulloi Orif – in the weight category up to 73 kg; Victoria Kiseleva – in the weight category over 78 kg; Somon Makhmadbekov and Abubakr Bokiev – in the weight category up to 81 kg; Umar Rasulov and Muzamir Karimzoda – in the weight category up to 90 kg; Parviz Abdurakhmanov and Bakhtovar Bobokhonov – in the weight category up to 100 kg; Nekruzshhokh Nekbakhtzoda – in the over 100 kg weight category.
The International Judo Federation reported that approximately 400 judokas from 41 countries have registered for the tournament.
In addition to medals, athletes will receive points in the world judo rankings, as well as cash prizes. The winners in each weight category will receive €5,000, silver medalists €3,000, and bronze medalists €1,500.
