During a working visit to the Khatlon region, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon commissioned 16 educational facilities and three industrial enterprises.
In the Jayhun district, Emomali Rahmon unveiled a symbolic plaque to inaugurate General Education Institution No. 53. The school was built in honor of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
The construction work was carried out by specialists and builders from the Behbud Trade Cooperative using high-quality building materials, in compliance with international standards, and utilizing modern architectural solutions and decorative elements.
General Education Institution No. 53 is designed to accommodate 1,300 students in two shifts and includes 28 classrooms, an assembly hall, a cultural and sports hall, a 50-seat cafeteria, a library, a medical center, and methodological rooms.






During a conversation with teachers and students, the President emphasized that when creating favorable conditions for learning and upbringing in the country's general education institutions, priority should be given to the quality of education and the level of knowledge.
It was reported that over the 34 years of independence, in order to provide teenagers and young people with modern knowledge that meets international standards, and to develop education in the exact sciences, foreign languages, and technology, a number of new types of general and educational institutions have been built, and the necessary conditions for learning have been created.
It was noted that in 2024–2025 alone, 91 additional classrooms with a total of 2,275 seats were built and put into operation at 52 general education institutions in the Jaykhun district.
In the same district, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon remotely commissioned 16 educational facilities in the districts of Jaykhun, Dusti, Panj, Qubodiyon, Shahritus, and Nosiri Khusrav, as well as three industrial enterprises in the districts of Dusti and Panj.




The commissioned facilities include the state preschool institution "Ma'rifat" at general educational institution No. 12, designed for 400 children, the preschool educational institution "Donoyak", new educational buildings at general educational institution No. 1 in the village of Dusti, general educational institution No. 6 of the rural jamoat of Panj and general educational institution No. 11 of the rural jamoat of Kumsangir of the Jaykhun district with coverage of 1,440 students, the administrative building of the education department of the Dusti district, additional buildings at general educational institutions of the rural jamoats of Jilikul, Khurramdiyor and Navzamin of the Dusti district, a new building of general educational institution No. 9 for 1,280 places and an additional building for 480 places in the village of Hamdilon of the Panj district, a new building of general educational institution No. 51 for 1,400 places and a private a preschool institution for 375 children in the Qubodiyon district, an additional educational building for 800 places at general educational institution No. 6 in the Shakhritus district, as well as two additional educational buildings for 800 places at general educational institution No. 12 in the Nosiri Khusrav district.
It was reported that all educational facilities are equipped with computers, specialized subject rooms, and provided with favorable conditions for learning.
As part of the implementation of the fourth strategic goal—the accelerated industrialization of the country—the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, also remotely commissioned a slate factory, creating 45 jobs; the Sarmoyai Dusti cotton processing plant, with a processing capacity of 10,000 tons of cotton per year and the creation of 35 jobs in the Dusti district; and a cotton processing plant in a technology and innovation park, creating 50 jobs in the Panj district of the Khatlon region.
The President praised the entrepreneurs' creative initiatives and instructed those responsible at industrial enterprises to pay special attention to the quality of their products, cotton processing, and to further expand their operations and increase the number of jobs.
